Pieces and detritus

I got a DEKALtm pic to emboss and tile nicely on 1024x768. image is 256x192.

looks very nice in puppy and it is quick. if you get puppy get muppy icedock, the wmix is preconfigured with on screen display, totally cool!!!

anyway check out my latest mix of sigh. click on the link it will download the wav file from themusicv2 website, which by the way is the most awesome site for music. you should give chris p some money, he has supported a lot of this site out of pocket and it beats the pants off of any other site in terms of sound quality and size of downloads.

If you want the pic or any dekal desktop backgrounds send me a comment or email and I will send to you.

If we call the people from the Netherlands the Dutch (in english) and we call the people from Germany the Germans (in English) and the Germans call themselves the Deutsch (in German) then could there be a connection between the word dutch and Deutsch?

i think the french call the Germans Allemanni or is it they call Germany Allemagne, or the Allemanni were a Germanic tribe named by the Romans? in which case do the Germans (Deutsch) call the french by another name? frank? and what do the french call themselves? and is there a connection between the words frankfurter; the franks; and the french?

PolyFuels has announced the development of a hydrocarbon membrane for fuel cells in hope of replacing the polymer membrane.

speaking of the romans why is italy called italy or italia? and what do the romanians call the french or the italians as they speak a romance language as well. if tagalog has traces of spanish in it, then is it considered a romance language as well? let's find out. wikipedia states:

"Tagalog is a Central Philippine language within the Austronesian language family. Being Malayo-Polynesian, it is related to other Austronesian languages such as Indonesian, Malay, Fijian, Maori (of New Zealand), Hawaiian, Malagasy (of Madagascar), Samoan, Tahitian, Chamorro (of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands), Tetum (of East Timor), and Paiwan (of Taiwan).

It is closely related to the languages spoken in the Bicol and Visayas regions such as Bikol, Hiligaynon, Waray-Waray, and Cebuano.

Languages that have made significant contributions to Tagalog are Spanish, Min Nan Chinese, English, Malay, Sanskrit (via Malay), Arabic (via Malay/Spanish), and Northern Philippine languages such as Kapampangan spoken on the island of Luzon."

of course this is what wiki says about itself:

The first such software to be called a wiki, WikiWikiWeb, was named by Ward Cunningham. Cunningham remembered a Honolulu International Airport counter employee telling him to take the so-called "Wiki Wiki" Chance RT-52 shuttle bus line that runs between the airport's terminals. According to Cunningham, "I chose wiki-wiki as an alliterative substitute for 'quick' and thereby avoided naming this stuff quick-web." "Wiki Wiki" is a reduplication of "wiki", a Hawaiian-language word for fast. The word wiki is a shorter form of wiki wiki (weekie, weekie). The word is sometimes interpreted as the backronym for "what I know is", which describes the knowledge contribution, storage, and exchange function.

virtualisation as the natural extension of wrappers on libs and api's

as we encapsulate the software process in similarities to the hardware process; libraries or api's as capacitors and transistors; it is not that far of a stretch of the imagination to envision software cpu's. this is evidenced in the occurrence of increasingly complex code and operating systems with its fruition in the virtual machine.

this model of encapsulation has theoretical siblings in the biological and evolutionary sciences. the use of existing components in functions unimagined have been postulated in various scientific academe communities. exempli gratia fish equilibrium bags which evolved into the new use as lungs on land based creatures; et al examples like this ad infinitum. the natural sciences are profuse with examples of re-purposing or ever increasing complexity. it is not to re-invent the wheel as it is to actualise untold variations of the wheel, the actualisation's being an infinite number of variations and in this sense infinite is the operative word.

let us return to the model of the virtual machine. it is no more virtual as say a library or a human cell. library/api = the nucleotide proteins. OS/audio/Video Servers = golgi/reticulum. the nucleus is the core coding of the machine built on the the libraries to define and create the cell.

we are the mitochondria.

enabling the process to work; and a bit of a mystery at that. we are the animal within the animal. we power that purpose and contain our own instructions. our fingers dancing on the keyboard is the ATP.

"Nuclear and mtDNA are thought to be of separate evolutionary origin, with the mtDNA being derived from bacteria that were engulfed by early precursors of eukaryotic cells."

The Libs/API:

Nucleic acids and oligonucleotides
Nucleobases: Adenine | Thymine | Uracil | Guanine | Cytosine | Purine | Pyrimidine
Nucleosides: Adenosine | Uridine | Guanosine | Cytidine | Deoxyadenosine | Thymidine | Deoxyguanosine | Deoxycytidine
Nucleotides: AMP | UMP | GMP | CMP | ADP | UDP | GDP | CDP | ATP | UTP | GTP | CTP | cAMP | cADPR | cGMP
Deoxynucleotides: dAMP | TMP | dGMP | dCMP | dADP | TDP | dGDP | dCDP | dATP | TTP | dGTP | dCTP
Ribonucleic acids: RNA | mRNA | tRNA | rRNA | ncRNA | sgRNA | shRNA | siRNA | snRNA | miRNA | snoRNA | LNA
Deoxyribonucleic acids: DNA | mtDNA | cDNA | plasmid | Cosmid | BAC | YAC | HAC
Analogues of nucleic acids: GNA | PNA | TNA| LNA | morpholino

Us as the programmer and enabler of the VM:

Mitochondria Inner StructureThe image “http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/cells/mitochondria/images/mitochondriafigure2.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

We are the operators. this of course is nothing new. it has been posited in numerous texts that evolution will follow the fracture through segments. in this sense we are merely a component in a process which may create a larger as yet unknown type of entity, more likely than not an entity which we will have no awareness of. as the flatlanders have no awareness of the beings in three dimensions; or at the least incomprehensible to us as flatlanders.

Our step to OOP was an important one, and is strikingly similar to encapsulation found throughout the universe. let us continue on this road knowing that we will blindly and without knowledge continue the evolution of a species of which we may someday be contained in.

The VM.

new year

so the new year is upon us and the attendant celebrations insofar as we have been able to pass another year on this planet without completely destroying it. in the eye of the deist; the world is a forgone conclusion, and as such a passing matter complete with design and a higher agency. For nought our mission is ongoing and that there is a PURPOSE in our being. There is no need for apology either. The explorations of our micro and macrocosms continues unabated; funded of course by our incessant need for entertainment to alleviate the 'burden of sentience TM'.

if we embark on a purposeful risk assessment; it is here that our greatest challenge lies. Not in the mapping of our consciousness or it's explanation (lol), but in the necessity to acquire further high potential resources. To assume that we have reached the end point on our explanation of consciousness is sheer arrogance. mapping our consciousness is not a risk factor, resource acquisition is. as metals become fixed in unusable salts or oxide compounds, the risk is increasingly ever presented as the shortage of high potential materials. this does not bode well for our species as our current technology is so dependant on these said materials.

organic carbon and silicon based technologies may hold the key. by its virtue of sheer plenitude; both materials may provide an inexhaustible resource or at the least a cyclic resource which could be powered by the energy that falls on the planet daily. the drawback in this scenario is the fixing of carbon in polymer chains which are covalently very strong and not easily rendered back to base ingredients. the other challenge is the fixing of materials in volatile organic compounds which prove difficult to handle on a planet wide scale by their very nature.

the nature of our ability to recognise an endless self referencing loop and our ability to terminate the loop is critical to understanding how technologies of the future must be developed. the good news is the terminator is in the works. how we apply this is the hope.

happy new year

the query surrounding the "aperceptibleTM" and surrounding of this surrounding

this tuesday uneventful as any other tuesday is where there begins an interesting exercise in fidelity. a scant three month ago, i had just launched upon the most terrifying and exciting time of my life. that it could be a dream as always those dreams torment me i know not. the fidelity of 20 years of rage, prior there would have sufficed a tear, a tantrum, a devious twist of drama, but now newly honed and revealed, its shroud cast about as detritus, was this pure venom of angst.

stripped me of all the possessions i thought were dear, but alas determinedly saccharine. with that stripping came the stripping of fear and the comforts of knowing that doing was not really doing; nor required thinking, for if one is to think, really really hard, one is quite pressed to explain anything with any precision we call truth.

a trisket a trasket a green and yellow basket...
my car color is midnight blue...
forgive me dear reader, but what is the point to our drivel? how it is that we are to convert higher potential energy into lower potential energy? finite less?
bric a brac... all the lines of code
figurines... the executable, really mr geek, what is it you are making except a world as addictive as it toothless and drivelsome. the martha stewarts of metal and electronic circuit boards. your drivel is her drivel, is an exercise in the futility of recreational plagiarism, the geeks and the martha's making baubles so you don't have contemplate the reason why you have feces coming from your arse and why you are here at all.

and to contemplate is the death knoll. that is the real rub, that you can contemplate at all, that your shitting is not merely autonomic as you watch for predators, but that you contemplate its shape and size; remark or make note on its color for various health reasons. this is our shared burden, the "burden of sentienceTM" and this where our story begins...

mv2 embed for DEKAL MUSIC

click cursor inside image and use arrows to navigate in embed. use browser reload button to restore
Linux users have gxine plugin for mozilla installed in the browser;click D/L and gxine will stream the mp3. new mix of 'mine' is a wavfile so gxine may not stream right away, unless you have fios or a t1/3 connection. but you can go to the DEKAL web page and download the wav. the macromedia player is a crappy piece of software and cuts off the highs so please don't listen to these tracks on that adobe corporate piece of garbage. (mind you adobe makes some great software but the macromedia player blows fucking chunks!) instead stream with gxine or windowsmediaplayer.

DEKAL features an intense high end sizzle, be warned on tracks like "do you good" you will lose your hearing. cash allen and DEKAL take no responsibility for hearing loss and are held harmless in such situations. please lower your volume or accept the muffled sound formally recognised as speech when people try to speak to you. hearing loss is for the rest of your life.
