THE NEW ROME
Yes we are living in a republic which is merely repeating history. As stories go it is a great one, but again here are the signs our country is headed for empire: I Started righting this blog and then realised it's wickedly political implications, so I have sanitised it for those who may be offended by its more critical original state.
-Republic turns to Empire
this is a common theme throughout history. A republic based on the virtues of freedom, individual hegemony, and self realisation is perverted by the glut and love of money and things. This also occurred countless times in Chinese history as each succeeding wave of invader became sinicised. The sinicised part is equal to the fat lazy american video game playing kid who cant write or read or know what math is. whereas those non-americans hungry for an existence not so brutalised by the vicissitudes of nature AND human nature struggle to replace those future "leaders."
-Bastardised Legislation
again when ideals and sweat are subrogated by greasy palms and money. can we say PIGS AT THE TROUGH? This wouldn't be the first time people were lorded over by tyranny (oh wait, own story of independence from interfering overlords wanting some extra taxes, the first true republicans, but wait there is more the republics first instituted the national income tax system in the 1860's. do they teach you that in american history? yup they do not and the Lincoln Mythology isn't its own bit of revisionism.. uh uhh)
-Money Lords run the system
humm.. I know I know it's a stretch... but the private armies of the territorial governors and generals is now the fat fucking overpaid CEO's of the world.
-Power is MOney
yup, your mom has been telling this to you for a long time. Now that your working at the GAP for $7.00 an hour, how does it feel not to be able to afford anything? ya they create jobs everyday in America. Hey I'm just trying to make my mortgage payments every month. (you notice mortgage has the word DEATH in it right? (mort)) merriam-webster below
Main Entry: 1mort·gage ![]()

-Bread and Circus
the new bread and circus in theatres across the country, on television in every household, yummy..the warm and fecal output of a million media makers spread across our screens. keep pushing the X button then the square button then the triangle button, that should eliminate the bad guys. Remember when 3 channels was enough and you spent most of you time playing OUTSIDE? like the:
Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy Lyrics - Television, The Drug Of The Nation Lyrics

-The Pantheon of Gods
stars.. more stars and "famous" people. celebrities are the newest pantheon. how many times can you crucify dionysus? LOL
-Centurion Denied Benefits
there was time time centurians were paid in salt and land (hence the word salary). then that stopped and the republic went to H E double hockey sticks. wait a minute we do that today with our veterans... hummm...
-The lure of roman citizenship has no meaning
there was a time when yawl want roman citizenship, voting, in good standing with your community blah blah, then you realised it was a rip, so you just plundered instead. with the exception of some parts the midwest (and that is in doubt too), the good of the community before the good of the individual is DEAD. here come the vandals

-the chaos of multiple interests causes the rise of centralised power and elimination of personal liberties
the patriot act. the surveillance, true to protect us, but who is watching the watchers?
the closing song from soundgarden:
Soundgarden
2. My Wave
Take, if you want a slice
If you want a piece
If it feels alright
Break, if you like the sound
If it gets you up
If it brings you down
Share, if it makes you sleep
If it sets you free
If it helps you breathe
Don't come over here
And piss on my gate
Save it just keep it
Off my wave
Cry, if you want to cry
If it helps you see
If it clears your eyes
Hate, if you want to hate
If it keeps you safe
If it makes you brave
Pray, if you want to pray
If you like to kneel
If you like to lay
Don't come over here
And piss on my gate
Save it just keep it
Off my wave
Keep it off my wave
Keep it off my wave
Keep it off my wave
My wave
